The Project
Work on the entire project includes, but is not limited to, demolition of existing surface improvements in alley ways; full reconstruction of alley ways: paving, gutters, catch basins and storm drain laterals; replacement of existing sewer and water lines in alley ways; upgrading of existing sewer lines and water lines in Third Street and Santa Fe Street; installation of storm drain collection system for the downtown area.

The infrastructure work will continue into the winter months and is expected to be completed in the Spring of 2008. Phase II, streetscape improvements, are scheduled to begin in early 2008.

The improvements are being funded by the Riverbank Redevelopment Agency.
